Terms & Conditions

REQUIREMENTS 

Artists must submit: 

  • Completed registration form 
  • $40 non-refundable entry fee (for first 3 submissions)
  • Resume or CV 
  • Brief artist statement (300 words or less) 
  • Portfolio of work (up to 3 images, 6 max) including title, date, medium, and dimensions for each work 

RULES AND ELIGIBILITY 

Artists must reside, work in, or hail from one of the following southern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia.

Entries are exclusively accepted through the ArtCall.org submission management program. Late or incomplete submissions will NOT be considered.

Artists can submit up to 6 high-resolution digital images or videos of their original artwork, with a minimum of 300dpi/1MB.

A non-refundable fee of $40 is required, which permits artists to make up to three submissions. An additional three pieces can be submitted for additional $10. 

With each submission, you can upload up to six images of that piece to provide detailed views. 

All artwork must be entirely original in terms of concept, design, and execution by the artist.

Artists are required to provide the Mint Museum of Art with permission to reproduce their artwork in both print and electronic media for the purpose of promoting the Coined in the South Biennial.

Artists also agree to allow the Mint Museum of Art to include their name and information in an online archive of submissions to the Coined in the South Archive. This archive information may encompass the artist's name, state, media category, subject/style category, website URL, images of artwork, as well as the title, date, medium, and dimensions of the artwork.

Artists are obligated to submit a non-refundable entry fee of $40. No late or incomplete submissions will be considered.
